Antonio Ferri was born in 1938 and studied in both the humanities and law before dedicating himself to painting. After a year of showing his work in the United Sates (1968-69), he returned to Spain and has had individual shows in various European capitals, among them London, Paris and Copenhagen. His work hangs in a number of Spanish museums. He is presently painting and exhibiting his work in Valencia, the city of his birth. The source of his inspiration remains the Mediterranean sea. When he is not at work in Valencia, he can frequently be found down the coast near Altea, where he owns a 17th century mill he is in the process of restoring.
